Coherence Principle

This week we focused on the Coherence Principle. This module really showed me how “extra”neous I really am. -_- Clark and Mayer pushes the instructor to be concise and succinct. Clark and Mayer connect this principle to the Cognitive Load Theory. Omitting extraneous words, graphics or audios for added interest or to expound on key ideas are the key violations. The intent of following this principle is to reduce the cognitive load of the learner. I have written a brief analysis that can be seen here.
